Finastra¶
Atfinity connects to Finastra Essence through an integration, and to the older Finastra Equation through integration work done with each bank.
Essence¶
The Essence integration connects to the Essence APIs directly or through an API gateway. Examples of what banks use it for:
- Finding an existing personal or enterprise customer by identification number, registration number, name, date of birth, phone or email before onboarding a new one
- Checking a new personal customer for duplicates by name and date of birth
- Opening personal customers with their identity, contact, address and FATCA details, and enterprise customers with their registration, address and contact details
- Showing a client the repayment schedule of a loan before it exists, then creating the loan with its applicant, repayment, disbursement and collateral
- Creating the loan agreement that links the customer, the loan and the property it covers
Equation¶
Equation predates the API standards Essence is built on, and each bank exposes it through its own API layer. An Equation integration is therefore built by Atfinity together with the bank, as a custom integration for that bank. Examples of what such an integration does, from integrations Atfinity has built:
- Reserving the next customer basic early in a case, sending only the business line, the residence country and the customer type, so no personal data reaches Equation before the case is approved
- Creating the customer, or updating one that already exists, with the full customer record
- Updating a customer after a change by reading the current records, merging the changed values in and calling only the endpoints whose data changed
- Creating relationships between two customers, such as director, beneficial owner or spouse
- Opening accounts with up to two joint holders, adding a joint holder, third party or power of attorney to existing accounts, and attaching an address to an account
- Blocking and unblocking a customer, including the sanction, KYC, lost-contact and other blocking flags, and blocking or unblocking a list of accounts in one call
- Reading a customer's account balances with postings and turnover, the customer's blocking, KYC, sanction and deceased statuses, and the inactive, blocked and closing status of each account
