Definition

Review is an information type that a user decides in the case as Approved, Open points or Declined, about other information of the same instance. Its layout places information of its own ontology, and texts with review instructions, on a grid of four columns, and the case shows their values next to the decision, with who decided and when.

With Review Individual Information switched off, the review is decided as a whole. With it switched on, each information in the review is decided on its own, and each component of each occurrence of a structure as well. The review then takes its own decision from them: Declined as soon as one is declined, otherwise Open points as soon as one has open points, and Approved once all of them are approved. Until then it has no decision of its own.

A decision is reset when an information it covers changes, and only a user can decide a review. Reviewing Information in a Case explains the layout, how a review gets into a case, and how rules and documents read it.

Example

A review for a person holds a text item, "I checked these details against the passport", followed by First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth and Nationality. Decided as a whole, one Approved covers all four. Decided per information, a user approves the names, marks the date of birth with Open points, and the review shows Open points until it is corrected and approved.
