Wizard

Definition

A wizard is an external, step-by-step form for someone who has no access to the Case Manager: a client or an applicant fills it in through a link, usually sent by email. It reads and writes the same case data the Case Manager does, laid out across steps instead of tabs.

A wizard template belongs to a process and has one of four types. Two of them start a case, on a creation process or on a lifecycle process, and two continue an existing one, either scoped to chosen instances or covering the whole case.

See Configuring a Wizard for the types, how a wizard is started, and what a step can hold.

Example

A bank emails a 'Client Onboarding' wizard to a prospective client, who fills in their personal details and signs documents without ever seeing the Case Manager, and filling it in starts the case. Once the case exists, a case manager can send an 'Update Details' wizard to the same client, scoped to just their person instance, whenever their address changes.
