Booklet

Definition

A Booklet is a collection of documents that a case hands out as one unit. Booklets are configured per process, and each one is a tab of its own in the case. The same item can be in several booklets. A booklet can also hold proofs and file information (new in Atfinity 17).

What a case shows

The order inside a booklet is fixed: documents first (ordered by document order), then file information (in order they were added to the booklet) and then proofs (ordered by proof order). Each item is held as often as the case holds it, once per instance it belongs to and once per file, for information that hold multiple.

A proof or file information is skipped in the generated PDF (and in its table of contents), when it doesn't have an uploaded file or when the upload is not a PDF, PNG, JPEG, TIFF, SVG or WEBP.

Actions

You choose which action a booklet offers as its primary one (new in Atfinity 17). It falls back to downloading the PDF whenever that action is unavailable: the editable download only exists while the case is ongoing, and sending for eSigning only if the eSignature service is on and the booklet has at least one signatory.

A booklet can be uploaded to the case, with its pages matched to the corresponding documents using their QR codes. Proofs and file information are never matched, so they are not replaced by the uploaded copy.

Example

An onboarding booklet holds the account opening form, the fee schedule and the passport copy of every person of the contract. In a case with two persons it lists the two documents first and then one passport copy per person.
