Aligning Booklet Pages for Printing

Info

New in Atfinity 17.

A booklet is generated as one continuous PDF, so on a double-sided print an item that ends on an odd page leaves the next item starting on the back of that sheet. The printed pack can then no longer be separated into the documents it is made of.

Turn on duplex page alignment on the booklet to avoid that. A blank page is added after every item with an odd number of pages, so each item starts on the front of a sheet. The table of contents counts as an item.

Alignment only affects the merged PDF, a ZIP download has one file per item, so nothing is added there.

Leave it off where booklets are read on screen or printed single-sided, since the blank pages are part of the file either way.
