Case

Definition

Every time you start a process in atfinity, you create a new case.
There are two types of cases:
  1. 1.
    Creation: the outcome of the case is, when approved, the creation of a new instance.
  2. 2.
    Lifecycle: the case, if concluded successfully, modifies an existing instance.
A case is the manifestation of your configuration. Every choice you make during configuration, is reflected in a case as it is being created and managed in the Case Manager. The configuration is expressed in, among other things:
  • the workflow the case follows through a process,
  • which documents become part of a case, and under which circumstances they do so,
  • which roles parties can have in a case,
  • what languages can be used.
